Sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough

Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers behind enemy lines as part of a squad of four soldiers - risking it all to go AWOL on a personal quest. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavoured with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn’t enough. The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the Battlefield series’ multiplayer sandbox gameplay in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Players have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected Battlefield-style ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly.

The game also features the all new, objective based multiplayer game mode "Gold Rush", supporting 24 players online. Play as attackers and defenders and make full use of the tactical destruction as well as the unique vehicle experience of Battlefield: Bad Company.

Battlefield: Bad Company is the first game built from the ground up for next-generation consoles using DICE’s bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, delivering unrivalled graphics, effects and gameplay.

Battlefield: Bad Company

B Company

Welcome to the 222nd Army battalion, B-company. This is where the Army rakes together all the insubordinates, hellraisers and troublemakers that won’t fit in any other unit. When the Rangers and Deltas are too expensive to waste, these guys are the first ones in.

They’re called “Bad Company”; a mismatched bunch of rejects selected to serve their country as cannon fodder. This isn’t the kind of outfit a lot of soldiers would join voluntarily. Getting transferred to “the B” is a punishment and a way for the generals to put all their rotten eggs in one basket.

No one starts out in Bad Company. But for some, this is where they end up.

5 out of 5 stars Great game!! Wish it was also on PC   September 7, 2010

DICE did a great job with this game.

The single player is fun & engaging, the graphics are phenomenal, the story is interesting enough to keep you attentive & happily watching the cut scenes (as well as listening to the characters' commentary as you play, which can be hilarious), the sound is fantastic & the multiplayer is immersive.

Overall, this was enjoyable enough to play through twice (which is a rarity for me, I usually finish games and move on), so that's saying a lot right there. If you're a FPS fan I'd highly recommend this. I bought the 360 version but the PS3 one is nearly identical (again showing the great job DICE did).

Now that it's in Platinum/Greatest Hits, it's a bargain for what it offers. Even if this game didn't have multiplayer it would be well worth it IMHO.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome, but was expecting a little more   August 28, 2010

This game was extremelly fun to play. my only problem was with the lack of onlone game modes. Dont get me wrong, this game is awesome, BUT i dont recommend playing this game if you have already played bad company 2 as it may bore you a little, It only features "gold" rush, and conquest game modes, and does not have weapon challenged at all. Very good game, just a little seemingly repetetive after a while.

3 out of 5 stars An ok game   July 31, 2010
Carrot Top
I was a little surprised with this game. It's ok, but I didn't enjoy it as much as any of the COD games or the game's sequel BC2. It was a little too hard and your teammates couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. Also the replay value isn't good. Overall, this isn't a great game. Don't expect anything great if you decide to buy it.

Game moves at a good pace and on easy mode is very forgiving;better than I thought it would be even baseing it on COD.........

5 out of 5 stars Present for my Grandson   July 12, 2010
LOIS RITI (Pennsylvania)
I bought this game for my grandson's Birthday & he absolutely LOVES it. Plays all the time.
He turned 12 on June 24th....It arrived way before his Birthday, which pleased me very much!
If ever i need to do business again with that company, it would be my pleasure.
