product is excellent i;ve had for a month now and every still works fine. for a person who has never play drums it;s harder than i though, u need to practice a lot to get thru the songs

This is pure and simple fun. We play with the kids and have a blast. Listening to them sing songs that we grew up listeining to is a hoot! We have all discovered what instrument we want play in our next lifetime. I would prefer all the instruments to be wireless,not just the guitar, but we only have a ps2. I'm sure that is an option as an additional purchase, but have not looked into it as of yet. This is a good way to spend a rainy day/evening with the kids, (or when they are in bed and dad and I tour alone!)

I recently bought this game for the PS3 from my local game shop and I tried to play it today. When I selected the Solo Tour mode, a window popped up saying it couldn't detect a USB microphone and told me to plug one in. I don't do the vocals in the game, I strictly use the guitar controller to play the game. So in the end, I would not buy a single Rock Band video game for the PlayStation 3 ever again. If you want to play Rock Band, either play it on the Nintendo Wii or the XBOX 360.

Even though the song selection is not as good as rockband 2, it still has tons of good songs to play or add to your rockbamd 2 library. The PS3 license to sync the songs to rockband 2 is only 5 bucks on the PS3 store. After buying the game and license it was still only 15 bucks to add 40 (I don't know the exact amount) plus songs! Great for getting a party started, and gets you away from repetitively playing a song you hate on rockband 2. I love it!
