As with previous models, the PlayStation 3 120GB system features an IBM "Cell" processor and a co-developed NVIDIA graphics processor that together allow the system to perform two trillion calculations per second. Yet the 120GB system manages to improve on this with its 45nm version of the processor, which although running at the same 60+nm speed as previous PS3 versions, uses less energy. This makes the unit's smaller size and quieter fan possible. Along with the traditional AV and composite connections, the 120GB system also boasts an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TVs and projectors.  Arthritis Sufferers Beware!!! September 7, 2010

As a person who suffers from arthritis, I am not recommending this product or any other game console to anyone. The way you have to hold the controller caused my hands to go completely numb within minutes of starting a game. I tried to ignore the problem for months because I really wanted for the PlayStation 3 to work out for me but I finally gave in and after doing some research, I found that if you are having numbness in you hands like I was, it can cause permanent damage such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other nerve disorders. Anyways I gave it up and I am now back to playing my games on the PC because controlling a game with the keyboard and mouse doesn't effect my hands that way. On a side note, I think Sony is ripping people off with the controllers of the PlayStation 3 because when the battery gets to the point that it won't hold a charge anymore, you have to buy another controller and a new controller costs $55 to $60 bucks depending on where you get it. I did my research on this issue and found that there are replacement batteries that can be ordered but people who ordered them said that what they got didn't fit the controller. Also when you take the controller apart the cheap screws they use to hold it together strip making the controller impossible to be put back together. I contacted Sony about this and their response was that they were sorry for the problem but they don't service the controllers. Anyways after days of thought on the matter I decided to sell the thing, cut my losses and move on.

After using the Nintendo Wii, decided to go for the PS3 and still impressed by the graphics.
Wii is more fun on certain games, but to watch PS3 is already a treat.

Couldn't be happier. This thing is amazing. Did my research and figured if I was going to get a ps3, I wanted the best one for my son I could get. Waited for the price I wanted and got a 250gb for the price of a 120gb.Suggest getting a mic for in game communications.
