5 out of 5 stars Best Naruto Game Yet   August 6, 2010
Amethyst94
[Just for the record, Im not someone who just got this game and is writing a review because I've played it for a few days and it's awsome, I've had it for over a year]

Naruto Ultimate Ninja: Storm is the best Naruto game out there (so far), no question about it. I've had this game for over a year and have obviousely finished it, but regardless I still go back to play and everytime I do I always have fun. The graphics are phenomanal and blow all the other Naruto games out of the water. This games is loads of fun and if you are a Naruto fan I garentee you will love it

Fighting:
When fighting in this game, there is not just the one angle camera view in all of the other typical fighting games, you get to move through and fight in the entire area (which is pretty large) while the camera follows you in almost a 3D effect. (ok maybe im being a little over dramatic but the effects and graphics are very cool, I was stunned the first time I played it) The movements of the characters are very fluid and the multiple attacks you can perform are very cool. There are a large number of characters you can play as, which includes characters seen even at the very end of the Naruto series.

Story Mode:
The storyline of the game begins with Naruto becoming a genin and ends when he sets off to train with Jiraiya for 3 years (minus the 100+ fillers in the show). Story mode lets you run around the actualy villiage of Konoha and interact with different characters, including ones from the actual show. Here is where you take on missions that are either from the storyline or are training and quests with other characters. Here you can also collect items, money, scrolls, attacks to use in battle mode, and more. It is fun to run around the actual villiage and collect items and what not, but the mini games can get a little repetative and finding scrolls a bit tedious, however I at least didn't start feeling that way until I already beat the game.
What also makes this ganme interesting is that it isn't just fighting and running around, you can also participate in races accross the treetops of konoha or climb actual trees for Chakra training.

One real Con:
The only real con I have for this game is that in story mode the camera is a little annoying to control, but thats really it

All in all this is a very fun game with awsome graphics and if you are thinking of getting a Naruto game then definately get this one

4 out of 5 stars An interesting game.   July 15, 2010
Senam
As one would expect, this game is about Naruto's journey, starting from the time he became a ninja. There are two main game modes, in this game: one that follows the storyline, and another that allows you to simply fight against opponents (the computer, or a friend). The story mode is made up of different types of missions, (which is good, to avoid monotony) but Naruto is back in the village after each and every part of a bigger mission, which doesn't fully make sense.. There's a wide range of skills and abilities in the game, a decent number of playable characters, nice environment and so forth. Overall this is a good game, with great cel-shading, but if you're looking for the best Naruto game out there, you might want to wait 'til the Ninja Storm 2 comes out (in my opinion).

4 out of 5 stars It's cool   July 7, 2010

Hmmmmmmm, what can I say, I'll get right to it.

Great vs mode.
Good enough combo engine.
Good enough graphics.
Good selection of characters.

Downsides.
Can't stand the lengthy loading times.
The story more is for want of a better word.............boring.
Some of the unlockables require you play this game for hours on end.
Game setting in leaf village could be a little more interactive and imaginative.
The cut scene should have been done in voice and not screen scripting.
Cut scene should also give the player a choice to skip them.

After all is said and done, it's an ok game. If you're not a fan of the anime series, don't get this game. I love the series so the quirks don't bother me that much.

3 out of 5 stars My kid loves it   May 31, 2010
Ivan Lavrusik (Minnesota)
My little one who's 3 loves playing it. She's getting pretty good at it. She's played other games but this one seems to be easy enough for her. I myself don't think it's that fun. You get stuck in the main city and then do missions. I like to go beyond and explore.
